About Us

Founded in 2006 by the Presbyterian Women in Detroit, The Second Mile Center of Detroit provides services and develops partnerships to empower and strengthen people through charitable and educational means without discrimination based on race, color, national or ethnic origin. Our services include:
Free After School Programs
Free Summer Activities
Free Clothing, Good and Baby Needs Pantry
Free Monday Night Community Dinner
No Cost Mobile Health Fair
Free Computer lab

Volunteer Opportunities

We are accepting applications for volunteers to serve. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. Call the Center at 313.245-5252

Donations

We appreciate your donations to support the work of Second Mile Center. All donations are tax-deductible under the guidelines of the Internal Revenue Service 501C3.

Participate in Adopt-Our-Family for $30.00 a month.

We accept new and gently used clothing, shoes, bibles, household goods, games and sports equipment for adults, children and babies.
